Please disable any kind of mineral transfer between players of a team. I only encountered this problem if a player left a game. I will make some examples to explain this proposal. Suppose there are the teams A and B. Team A has the players a1, a2, and a3 and team B has the players b1, b2, and b3. In the examples every player receives 100 minerals over time and spends them for buildings/units. There are also the combats a1 vs. b1, a2 vs. b2, and a3 vs. b3.
1) No one leaves the game
a1 vs. b1 -> 100 minerals vs. 100 minerals
a2 vs. b2 -> 100 minerals vs. 100 minerals
a3 vs. b3 -> 100 minerals vs. 100 minerals
That’s a fair mineral distribution.
2) In a former version of Desert Strike minerals were concentrated on a single player of a team in the following situation. Assume that both b2 and b3 leave the game. Now player b1 gets all the minerals that in fact b2 and b3 should receive separately. In addition the units of player b1 spawn in total three times: as a replacement of b2 and b3 and the normal spawn. So we had the following combats:
a1 vs. b1 -> 100 minerals vs. 300 minerals
a2 vs. b1 -> 100 minerals vs. 300 minerals
a3 vs. b1 -> 100 minerals vs. 300 minerals
This is pretty unfair.
3) In a newer version of Desert Strike the behavior from 2) is not active any longer but the selling of buildings is activated, and you can sell even the buildings from a player which left the game. You can sell tier 1 units for 70 %, tier 2 units for 60 %, and tier 3 units for 50 % refund. Suppose player b2 and b3 create tier 1 buildings for 100 minerals and then leave the game, and player b1 sells all of the buildings from b2 and b3. We get the following combats:
a1 vs. b1 -> 100 minerals vs. 240 minerals
a2 vs. b1 -> 100 minerals vs. 240 minerals
a3 vs. b1 -> 100 minerals vs. 240 minerals
This is pretty unfair.
If only one player leaves the game, e. g. player b3, the game becomes also imbalanced.
a1 vs. b1 -> 100 minerals vs. 135 minerals
a2 vs. b2 -> 100 minerals vs. 135 minerals
a3 vs. b1 -> 100 minerals vs. 135 minerals
4) If a player leaves (sometimes) the minerals are distributed between the remaining players. This will also result in an imbalanced game.
5) Sometimes a player gets kicked out of the game right before the game starts. If this happens, on very rare occasions, the mineral count of the remaining players of the team is set to zero. This is a bug but it maybe is in connection with the mineral transfer between players.
In sum, every mineral transfer imbalances the game, so I would recommend that this behavior of the game should be stopped.
