HT are now good enough to counter them thanks to amulet letting them cast both spells. Thor/Ghost is as devastating as ever and won't be distracted, and infestors can get them before they get you.

Actually it seems to be a popular strategy, though it is very very easy to counter, and sucks really bad if countered.

Terran:
Do not go vikings immediately, vikings take forever to kill a Raven (because it is light).
- Keep doing marines if their numbers are low / HSM does not slaughter you yet
- Add ghosts! Excellent damage (+to light) and EMP
- Add a very few Reapers (w/o speed upgrade) to help clear the turrets
- Thors are the nail in the coffin, add them when raven numbers start to add up

Protoss:
A bit more tricky than T, but still not hard
- Have a lot of Stalkers (usually a good idea anyway to have them)
- Add Archons, they do splash damage on stacked turrets as well as help clear the Ravens. They are also meaty enough to withstand a few HSM-s
- Sentries, good for reducing turret damage and also attacks the Raven
- Add a few Immortals to help with turret clearing if necessary
- Phoenixes help clear up the scattered ravens
- Templars are your coffin nail here, FB and Storm slaughters ravens

Zerg:
Slowzerg (no speed upgrades - IMO the better overall zerg strategy) has no problem with this, speedzerg needs to go air ASAP
- Queens should be used to heal damaged units and deal damage to Ravens
- Hydralisks are nice to have, tech when ravens are becoming troublesome for the queens to kill
- Roaches are a usual part of slowzerg, thus a large number of roaches can act as a distraction and clears turrets up well
- Infestors are your ace in the hole, both Fungal and later mind control is very good vs Ravens
- Add corruptors for extra damage and defense versus other air (if he is not stupid to continue making ravens only)

Mass ravens are only dangerous if:
1. Done right and combined with a healthy mass marine start (no selling, selling is evil)
2. Your allies fail to stop it (it is not your opponent) and it combines with other players' forces
3. You allow them to control the middle (should not happen, Ravens thoroughly suck early game and are easy to beat)

Mass ravens players rely on their teammates to carry them. The only point of mass ravens is when eventually enough of them combine with another player's army, and the enhanced army turns the whole game their way. And the game draws to a close with mass ravens looking like a decent idea when it's not.

I seen guys get owned of queens and they just kept going ravens.

This tactic is sadly still going strong. I found it, that it is actually Terran that has the most trouble vs Ravens, as the glass cannon ranged lines can fall very easily to mass HSMs. Raven is kind of the Terran Broodlord (not even half as broken, though - it uses mana to create extra units, and far less cost-effective).

Things to note about Ravens:
- they do not use energy for HSMs. IMO this should be fixed, so energy denial becomes more effective vs them.
- turrets usually get stacked in one place. Having some AOE or splash can get rid of the very fast (Terran is screwed, as mech units suck too much to be cost effective vs anything - though reapers can clean turrets up one by one very fast, Toss can use Archons or Colossi - only if colos can do something else as well, Zerg can use Lurkers or Ulras - I do not recommend buying ultras at all though).
- pdds are most effective vs toss, but you can use Archons and Sentries to overcome them
- if mass raven player is not killed fast, he will pretty much surely go for Battlecruisers later. You can prepare for that before he does that.
- the best Terran counter to Raven is actually... Battlecruiser. It Yamato-s them down, depletes PDD really quickly, almost immune to turrets and HSMs. Fortunately, the usual answer to battlecruisers is Vikings (which are horribly non-cost effective BTW), you can then laugh and put 2-3 thors in your mix to annihilate all of the low HP air units.
